With a vaccine around the corner, can’t we all just relax a little?
No, not really. It could take months for everyone to get a vaccine. Now more than ever, you need to take this shit seriously or 2021 could be worse than 2020. And no one wants to go back to life in lockdown.
I’m only having a few friends over. What’s the big deal?
The big deal is that every friend brings every contact they’ve had with them.
So even a small crew can put you at risk. Be sure to follow public health guidelines for any type of gathering, including shed parties.
Why should I download the COVID App? What about my privacy?
Believe it or not, your phone already knows everything you do. And by the way, nice Instagram profile. Downloading the app will help with contact tracing and will alert you to possible exposure. It keeps you and your family safe. Including your nan or pop.
I miss hugging my friends.
We all do. But think about it, hugging them puts you and your friends at risk. It’s just not worth it. So keep your distance at all times. At least six feet (or one party sub) apart.
Masks are weird and they make me break out.
Yes masks are weird but they won’t make you break out if you wash them regularly. Also, if you have a zit, it can make an excellent cover up.
I woke up feeling like shit. What should I do?
Stay home out of it. If you have one or more symptoms of COVID, like a runny rose or a sore throat, call 811 and stay away from family and friends. Continue to monitor yourself and your friends. If they aren’t feeling well, don’t hang out with them.
I wash my hands all the time. I should be safe, right?
It definitely helps. But make sure you’re washing them for at least 20 seconds and keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with you when you’re on the go. And don’t forget your damn mask.
